Dear Brother in Arms;

Thank you very much for the very nice shirt that you sent me! I love it! My soldier friends envy me every time I wear it. But I was warned by a good friend, saying: "Be careful in wearing it while on travel. The "Not-so-nice People Around" (NPA - New People's Army, the military wing of the Communist Party of the Philippines), might be irritated when they see the caption. I thanked him, but I said, "No matter what, I will wear that good damn shirt!!!"

Thank you Sir! Keep up the good work!
- Jaime B.

I appreciate your kindness, thank you. It will definitely be used. I will spread the word of Special Forces Gear around the camp. :)

Thank you.

Our Culture of Freedom is Being Lost

Nationalism - Why our culture of Freedom is being lost

In the beginning there were a common people with no nations. As the population of the earth grew there became a need for separation. People became separated by language, geographical locations, religion and race. Then nations were formed. The reason for people banding together and forming nations is simple. Survival! This comes from a principle: strength in numbers, a man alone is easy prey. Today nationalism is largely misunderstood, and there are good reasons for this because a big part of nationalism is a country's culture.

The 13 original colonies started with many cultures all looking for Freedom. Among the first were Puritans or Pilgrims. Puritans were Christians escaping persecution for their belief-seeking religious freedom to worship God and live their lives free; they formed the foundation of our Country. Future citizens came from many different cultures but most had one thing in common: they were looking for Freedom-and the opportunities it provides. The reason I have chosen this subject is because our culture of freedom is being lost. I will define culture like this; culture is the customs, beliefs, and principles that hold our nation together.

The history of America can be written with a pen of freedom and entrepreneurialism. God blessed this nation with natural resources but he truly blessed it with the people he sent here from other countries to make it come alive. People whose breasts yearned for freedom and a chance-just a chance-to prove they could make their dream happen. Would American's like George Washington, Abe Lincoln, Davy Crockett and Thomas Edison been possible in places like England, Spain or Russia? Doubtful. But it was the spirit in these people, just like the spirit of the pioneers, which tied this country together and made it great.

History fails to record a single precedent in which nations subject to moral decay have not passed into political and economic decline. There has been either a spiritual awakening to overcome the moral lapse, or progressive deterioration leading to ultimate national disaster.

- Gen. Douglas Macarthur,
at the close of World War II

The U.S.A's Culture chiefly stems from the many colonial ties with the British that spread the English language, legal system and other cultural inheritances. Socially, many of the colonial elite of Boston, New York, Charleston, and Philadelphia saw their identity as British ... But others who identified more with the Swiss - where French, German and Italian cultures came together for a common goal - into a melting pot with this great British influence ... Although many had never been to England, they imitated British styles of dress, dance, and etiquette. This social upper echelon built its mansions in the Georgian style, copied the furniture designs of Thomas Chippendale, and participated in the intellectual currents of Europe, such as Enlightenment. Many of the political structures of the colonies drew upon various English political traditions, most notably the 'Commonwealthmen' and the 'Whig' traditions. To many of their inhabitants, the seaport cities of colonial America were truly British cities. From Nova Scotia to Florida, all British subjects bought similar products, creating and Anglicanizing a sort of common identity...but that's where it stopped. For the confluence of Christians from Europe and the others absorbed into this cultural stew came with a spirit that wanted to break free from the trappings of a stogy uppercrust British snobbery and tyranical slavery as much as a wild mustang longs to gallop free across a plain ... And gallop we did!

If you were to look up the definition of Nationalism you will find many definitions and theories about the pros and cons of Nationalism. So I will attempt to clarify Nationalism in the U.S.A. and talk about the reality and principles of it, and how it impacts our nation. I will start with a dictionary definition:

Loyalty and devotion to one nation or country, especially as above loyalty to other groups or to individual interests.

In short Nationalism is being patriotic to our nation, which is a good thing. An easy way to think of Nationalism is when you are a member of a sports team. Your team performs best when you have a good leader. The coach and everyone work together as a team to achieve victories.

Internationalism is the enemy of Nationalism. Internationalism seeks to control and regulate everything through one world, one government stripping nations and people of culture and individualism. It also has many definitions and theories. But you can sum up Internationalism using the same sports analogy. That would be like being a member of a sports team and rooting for the other side. You can see where that will lead. This is bad for our nation.

I will give you this principal; International rule in our world-dominated under so much influence of evil-that an absolute power vested in a unified international body would always degenerate into ironclad totalitarianism.

The Establishment of this nation is under attack and we stand to lose what freedom we have left.

Let me enumerate for you, just in case you have forgotten, the four establishment institutions that our nation was built upon. (It is my sincere hope that these institutions will spark your memory and you will apply and use them in conversation and practice moving forward.)

  1. The individual.
  2. Marriage, husband and wife.
  3. Family.
  4. The National entity, government.

I. Individualism forms the character of this nation. Just as a team or business, or a company of soldiers is no better than its people-the same is true of our country. People must be free to make their own choices in life to succeed or to fail. To make good choices, which has a direct effect on our nation, a citizen must have integrity, honor and nobility as well as other virtuous traits that enable the citizen to fulfill his destiny. Self-discipline is the key. For without self discipline some people will abuse freedom through bad decisions. Individual freedom is very delicate; it must be exercised responsibly with restraint. Today individuals are selfishly abusing individual freedom sighting various rights as a justification for this abuse. I will give a few examples to show you what I mean. When a journalist publishes national secrets making that information public and available to the enemy sighting the public has a right to know this is clearly an abuse of freedom and aiding the enemy. Another example is when you are in a conversation with someone, in class, a movie theater, attending a campus speech, political rally or Military Funeral etc and it is interrupted or disrupted by a heckler or some protestors; this is an abuse of personal freedom. They are selfishly putting their own interests ahead of others thus taking away the rights from others. When they do this it is bad manners and shows no respect for the rights of others. This is a direct reflection of a persons up-bringing in the home or lack of. The selfish claim the right to freedom of speech, but what about the rights of others to listen to speeches of their choice.

This makes me think of the golden rule: One should act towards others as one would want them to act toward oneself.

II. Marriage - One of the most important decisions in life one must make is choosing who to marry. Marriage provides the structure for stability in society, the foundation of civilization. When the design for marriage between one man and one woman is spurned by enough people, degeneracy permeates society and the nation declines.

  1. Marriage forms the most basic unit in society.
  2. Marriage provides the framework for conjugal love and a legitimate environment for sex.
  3. Marriage is the foundation for the third Institution: the Family.

III. Family forms the fundamental organization in society for the perpetuation of a nation and the human race. Two parents, mother and father, create the environment for raising children. I say Mother and Father because they bring balance to the raising of children which is important in life to understand the different sexes. The family offers material provisions, security, discipline, guidance enveloped in parental love. Parents should have the authority and responsibility to raise and instill values, respect for authority, manners, patriotism, poise, and education. To turn out responsible individuals that goes out into society and become productive. Perpetuating the character of a nation. Remember this principle: Each generation must stand on its own. What each individual should strive to leave behind to the new generation is the knowledge to stand on one's own.

IV. Establishment / Government

Government provides the environment to fulfill and perpetuate the first three Institutions preserving our nation. Our government was designed to provide through establishment: A system of fair civil and criminal laws and jurisprudence to protect an individual's freedom, privacy, and property. What it was not intended to do is solve social problems. This is an area that is destroying our freedom.

Also, morality can not be legislated through government. It is designed to be taught in the home. This calls for a lot of common sense and good judgment because all crimes are immoral but all immoral acts are not crimes under establishment principals.

Provide law enforcement to also protect freedom, privacy, and personal property of the individuals in our nation. Law enforcement needs to use judgment. Written laws cannot provide for circumstances and people are far from perfect. When you have imperfect people blindly doing there job oblivious to circumstances you have tyranny. We all have experienced abuse of power over petty technicalities.

Provide a military to defend and protect our freedom from outside forces. Our Freedom is purchased by our Military on the Battlefield . Our military should be supported by mandatory universal military training to all eligible individuals. Universal Military training also would provide a second chance for young people to make up for lack of training in the home as well as the perfect environment to mature and make that transition from child to adult.

The military is also a direct reflection of our nation's society. When they are called upon to do a job and they are not prepared, given the proper equipment necessary, support, leadership and the mission to win. They will fail, because of our society. Which is where we find ourselves now in a no win situation.

"Of the four wars in my lifetime, none came about because the U.S. was too strong"
- Ronald Reagan

Economy: our economy was based upon capitalism and free enterprise. Investment capitol and business creates jobs and wealth. Government creates nothing. And as it grows in size it slowly chokes a nation. And its people suffer. I think the middle class and small businesses are suffering now under the socialistic practices our government has adopted-what it is now is not a culture of Freedom.

Language has become a huge issue in our country. This principle applies: Culture and freedom can only be expressed in one language. So by allowing our nation to be divided by language we will destroy our culture and freedom. End of debate.

In terms of internationalism the opposite is true. If everyone spoke the same language, evil would intensify in this world.

Religion. There is much debate on what our fore fathers meant by separation of church and state. In the words of Benjamin Franklin 1790, " When a religion is good, I can see it will support itself, and when it does not support itself, And God does not take care to support it so its professors are obligated to call for help of the civil power, Tis a sign, I apprehend, of its being a bad one." Religion was separated from government to protect its citizens from the tyranny of religion. When church and state unite civil and religious freedom disappear.

Here are a couple of principles to keep in mind:
  1. The state should never mandate religion.
  2. Religion should never be supported by taxes.

Currently there is an attack on Christianity in our nation. The reason for this is to destroy our culture and establishment. The foundation of our government, constitution, values and heritage comes from Judea-Christian principles and that cannot be separated from our government because it is the source of our freedom. And the foundation of our culture of Freedom. Taking God out of the Pledge of Allegiance, removing the Ten Commandments, taking Christmas trees down and all the other crazy things that are happening. Have nothing to do with separation of church and state. They are simply an attack on our Culture of Freedom.

So look around-each of you can see our culture disintegrating minute by minute. Like bricks falling from what was once a sturdy building. Certainly, we have those who actively participate in this effort of dismantling-traitors to our country. But they also have tacit approval for their dismantling ... from you.

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."

Who said this quote? A living conservative author perhaps or maybe one of our founding fathers? No, it was written by Marcus Tullius Cicero, previous to the fall of his Roman republic some 2,000 years ago. He saw it coming ... do we?

And what do our attackers do to insure their assault on the U.S.A. works? They destroy our qualities and values: God, Fathers, Mothers, and Children. They replace a common sensed voting republic with the internet and a high-speed media advertising based society turning our citizens into "Sound-bite PhD's"-knowing so little - that they know nothing. Destroying our laws so that a judicial branch rebukes all common sense laws that our constitution provides ... Replaces our citizens' sovereign duty to put sovereignty ahead of internationalism ... with a global conscience which is patently absurd in its thinking-that is, if like me, you are a freedom-loving, nationalistic patriot ...

A principal to think about: When people go against our establishment they will destroy our Nation through rejection of freedom.

I hear the word Democracy constantly be used to describe our form of government but we are a Republic which was formed to maintain our freedom. People have been deceived and a constant effort has been eroding our Republic away, trying to turn it into a Democracy. There is no Freedom in Democracy it is rule by the manipulation of the Mob. People vote for who they think will give them the most but never think about where it is going to come from and the negative effect it will have in the end.

One particular value and law they have worked so very hard to destroy completely is the one that ensures our constitutional and undeniable right to keep and bear arms. The idea: Our founding fathers, in their prescient minds, knew the reign of tyranny of a government out of control would always rear its ugly head sooner or later-and that the citizens needed to retain the right to protect themselves by being able to keep and bear arms. They put the 2nd Amendment in to protect us from our own government.

Amendment II

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

Derived from Biblical principles and our cutural inheritance of the British and Swiss belief in the God given right to keep and bear arms. Guns have played a key roll through out our history. They provided protection and food for the pioneers as they settled this country. They still play a key roll today not just in self defense but also as a deterrent to a would be invading army. I will never forget when I was a child the president of the Soviet Union Kruschev made a statement that no country could ever invade the US without first disarming its citizens. All one needs to do is look back in History to what happened to every nation that has disarmed and you will know this principal holds true. The countries that broke this suffered the unthinkable.

A gun is a tool no better or worse than the individual using it.

... Although Culture does not remain stagnant, it does evolve - but it should never evolve past the prinicpals it is founded on. A Culture changes with advances and changes in public opinion, technology, geopolitics, and science social practices only if it can retain the original spirit unto which those values are based.

Our Culture has done great things on Yankee ingenuity, faith and courage.. just look at most of the world in all aspects around us: without the USA's patriotic citizens, brains, brawn, money, power, influence or blessing ... the rest of the so called free world, would not be!

Our World War ll generation did their duty, paid their debts; stayed loyal to their families. And any of us with a connection to that era's culture, have an easy view to the anomolies of today in the international-mindedness of today's citizens.

I hear all the time we are a nation of laws, and it bothers me. We are a nation of individuals united by a culture of Freedom.

National corruption attacks our rights, laws qualities and values-and it meddles with many of our other sacred principles ... destroying the fabric of the United States.

National corruption is a huge problem we must guard against and try to hold in check and end completely if possible. We have citizens and residents both legal and illegal who garner privilege without responsibility. They enjoy the benefits and protections of this country while giving their allegiance to a foreign country, radical political groups, religious groups or a paramilitary group bent on insurrection. These groups and individuals are destructive to this nation. There must be a balance between government and the people. Currently, government bureaucracy has grown out of control in this country choking business and competitiveness-it has created a chain effect all the way to the family. It has opened the doors of globalization like a traitor and attacked the very molecular structure of this country: our family institution.

The definition of globalization: It is the increasing interdependence, integration and interaction among people and corporations in disparate locations around the world. It is an umbrella term which refers to a complex of economic, trade, social, technological, cultural and political, logical, cultural and political interrelationships. The term has been used as early as 1944; however Theodore Levin is usually credited with its first use in an economic context. There is much debate on the pros and cons of globalization. I think globalization is a symptom of something wrong and to debate the pros and cons is useless. What is important is why globalization has taken over. There is plenty of blame to go around and greed is the motivator. Our government and bureaucracies continue to choke the life out of business especially manufacturing with unfair taxes and ridiculous regulations, labor unions strike and demand more money and benefits making businesses less profitable and less competitive. Then the corporate executives have found by laying thousands of people off and replacing them with cheap overseas labor they can pay themselves ungodly amounts of money and the stock goes up making the stockholders happy and it goes on and on. We've all heard our leaders say how globalism is good for our country. But what they don't tell you is for everything there is a cause and effect. As corporations seek cheap labor around the world-we are losing jobs and money is not being reinvested into local communities-it is going to foreign countries. How can this have a happy ending for the United States? What is the solution? I say lower taxes and ease the pressure on the family and ease regulations to make our businesses more competitive and let free enterprise take the course that built this country.

I could not work,
I dared not rob.
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
Tell me; what lies shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

- Kipling's "Epitaphs of the Great War"
"Epitaph for A Dead Politician"

In closing we have become selfish as a nation. Our culture of freedom and the rise of our nation came from selfless acts of individuals. Now our culture is under the attack of selfishness of the individual. Everything is about: What is in it for me? People do not want to take responsibility for their actions and lives and our politicians are a reflection of society. This country was formed by statesmen-not politicians.

Politicians are self-centered people with a lust for approbation and power. Politicians compromise principle and put their own interests ahead of the people. They make a career out of politics which it was never designed to be, they vote themselves raises and receive fat pensions. Many come into office poor and come out rich. Politicians derive their power from the selfishness of society they buy votes through promises and entitlements and are afraid to risk their own careers to do the right thing. Statesmen do not make a career out of politics, they put their country first and they would risk their life for what they believe in.

Something to think about when selecting a candidate to vote for. Some people look at experience and revel in it. Maybe they should look at a person's character and values.

Nationalism/Patriotism is essential to our culture of Freedom. We have people putting their cowardice and their selfish interests ahead of the nation, and claiming they have the right to do this. But do they? Do they have the right to change our country of freedom to a socialist/internationalist nation catering to foreign interests and opinion? They openly criticize our president. Violating the principle I was taught in the military of respecting the rank or office. But the man or leader must command his own respect. The best way for me to put this is the sports analogy again. Patriotism is being a member of a team, USA, and when you openly irresponsibly criticize your teams coach and fellow players. Putting your own selfish interests ahead of principle and patriotism. You're a traitor to this nation, our culture of Freedom and your fellow citizens. I will close with this phrase ...

My country...

right or wrong...

May she always be right.

How dare we stop a suicide bomber! He has rights, you know...

Suicide Bomber You sure won't read of this in the leftist press

Thanks to Cliff Parrot for forwarding the following E-Mail from US Army Captain John Hunt who is in Afghanistan.

Hi everyone.
I'm still alive but freezing my tail off. We got 8 inches of snow last week and it reached 5 degrees below zero that night. That's not why I'm e-mailing though.

You may have heard about a suicide car bomb attack in Kabul last Thursday. It was at one of our FOB's (Forward Observation Bases) about 27 miles from here.

But the real story is why no one was killed.

We employ several thousand Afghans on our various bases. Not to mention the economy that is fed by the money these locals are making.

Some are laborers and builders, but some are skilled workers. We even have one Afghan that just became OSHA qualified, the first ever. Some are skilled HVAC workers.

Anyway, there is this one Afghan that we call Rambo.

We have actually given him a couple of sets of the new ACU uniforms (the new Army digital camouflage) with the name tag RAMBO on it.

His entire family was killed by the Taliban and his home was where our base currently resides. So this guy really had nowhere else to go.

He has reached such a level of trust with US Forces that his job is to stand at the front gate and basically be the first security screening.

Since he can't have a weapon, he found a big red pipe. So he stands there at the front gate in his US Army ACU uniform with his red pipe.

If a vehicle approaches the gate too fast or fails to stop he slams his pipe down on their hood.

Rambo carries a big red pipe.

Then once the gate is lifted the vehicle moves on the 2nd gate where the US Army MP's are. So he's like the first line of defense.

Last Thursday at 0930 hrs a Toyota Corolla packed with explosives and some Jack Ass that thinks he has 72 Virgins waiting for him approached the gate.

When he saw Rambo he must have recognized him and known the gig was up.

But he needed to get to that 2nd gate to detonate and take American lives. So he slams his foot on the gas which almost causes the metal gate to go up but mostly catches on the now broken windshield.

Rambo fearlessly ran to the vehicle, reached thru the window and jerked the suicide bomber out of the vehicle before he could detonate and commenced to putting some red pipe to his heathen ass.

He detained the guy until the MP got there.

The vehicle only exploded when they tried to push it off base with a robot but no one was hurt.

I'm still waiting for someone to give this guy a medal or something. Nothing less than instant US citizenship or something.

A hat was passed around and a lot of money was given to him in thanks by both soldiers and civilians that are working over here.

I guess I just wanted to share this because I want people to know that it's working over here.

They have tasted freedom. This makes it worth it to me.

Response from a Marine in Fallujah

Apparently, a Marine operating in al Anbar Province saw a media report critical of Marines. I did not see the media criticism but would note that the attempt to undermine Marines in combat may have been shoved to the rear by the outrage....permanent outrage, I might add....over the botched executions of torturers, rapists and mass murderers. The media in action....leaving no stone unturned in the pursuit of political objectives. In any event, the unidentified Marine has produced an eminently readable response. He forgot to mention that what they are doing mirrors what was done in the Pacific during WW II and for the same reasons. He took the time to write the story. His views deserve wide circulation. Bill M...

In response to the news blurb about the Marine who put two rounds in a wounded insurgent's head in Fallujah, here's a response from a Marine:

It's a safety issue pure and simple. After assaulting through a target, we put a security round in everybody's head. Sorry al-Reuters, there's no paddy wagon rolling around Fallujah picking up "prisoners" and offering them a hot cup a joe, falafel, and a blanket. There's no time to dick around on the target. You clear the space, dump the chumps, and

Are Corpsman expected to treat wounded terrorists? Negative. Hey libs, worried about the defense budget? Well, it would be waste, fraud, and abuse for a Corpsman to expend one man-minute or a battle dressing on a terrorist. It's much cheaper to just spend the $.02 on a 5.56mm FMJ.

By the way, in our view, terrorists who chop off civilian's heads are not prisoners, they are carcasses. Chopping off a civilian's head is another reason why these idiots are known as "unlawful combatants." It seems that most of the world's journalists have forgotten that fact.

Let me be very clear about this issue. I have looked around the web, and many people get this concept, but there are some stragglers. Here is your situation Marine: You just took fire from unlawful combatants(no uniform - breaking every Geneva Convention rule there is) shooting from a religious building attempting to use the sanctuary status of their position as protection. But you're in Fallujah now, and the Marine Corps has decided that they're not playing that game this time. That was Najaf. So you set the mosque on fire and you hose down the terrorists with small arms, launch some AT-4s (Rockets), some 40MM grenades into the building and things quiet down. So you run over there, and find some tangos (bad guys) wounded and pretending to be dead. You are aware that suicide martyrdom is like really popular with these idiots, and they think taking some Marines with them would be really cool. So you can either risk your life and your fire team's lives by having them cover you while you bend down and search a guy that you think is pretending to be dead for some reason. Most of the time these are the guys with the grenade or vest made of explosives.

Also, you don't know who or what is in the next room. You're already speaking English to the rest of your fire team or squad which lets the terrorist know you are there and you are his enemy. You are speaking loud because your hearing is poor from shooting people for several days. So you know that there are many other rooms to enter, and that if anyone is still alive in those rooms, they know that Americans are in the mosque. Meanwhile (3 seconds later), you still have this terrorist (that was just shooting at you from a mosque) playing possum. What do you do? You double tap his head, and you go to the next room, that's what!!!

What about the Geneva Convention and all that Law of Land Warfare stuff? What about it. Without even addressing the issues at hand, your first thought should be, "I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6." Bear in mind that this tactic of double tapping a fallen terrorist is a perpetual mindset that is reinforced by experience on a minute by minute basis. Secondly, you are fighting an unlawful combatant in a Sanctuary, which is a double No-No on his part. Third, tactically you are in no position to take "prisoners" because there are more rooms to search and clear, and the behavior of said terrorist indicates that he is up to no good. No good in Fallujah is a very large place and the low end of no good and the high end of no good are fundamentally the same . Marines end up getting hurt or die. So there is no compelling reason for you to do anything but double tap this idiot and get on with the mission.

If you are a veteran, then everything I have just written is self evident. If you are not a veteran, then at least try to put yourself in the situation. Remember, in Fallujah there is no yesterday, there is no tomorrow, there is only now. Right NOW. Have you ever lived in NOW for a week? It is really, really not easy. If you have never lived in NOW for longer than it takes to finish the big roller coaster at Six Flags, then shut your hole about putting Marines in jail for "War Crimes".

Terrorist Omar's former home used to train forces to destroy Taliban

Firebase Maholic, Afghanistan - Osama bin Laden built it. Taliban leader Mullah Omar lived in it, but was driven from it by U.S. forces. Today it's the Green Berets who call it home.

The complex was first called Camp Gecko, after the creatures that scale the walls. It was renamed Firebase Maholic after Master Sgt. Thomas Maholic, of Bradford, Pa., who was killed in Kandahar province's Panjwayi district in June.

Soldiers here readily acknowledge that Omar's digs aren't a bad place to refresh in between multi-day missions conducted in the barest of conditions.

The Green Berets can relax in front of a double-wide fireplace in the cafeteria, admire the three catfish in the nearby two-tier fountain or take a dip in the swimming pool a rarity in Afghanistan.

"Oh man, it doesn't get any better than this," said one Special Forces soldier, a sergeant 1st class intelligence specialist. "I've been to Afghanistan enough to know living at a firebase can't get much better."

Above: U.S. Special Force soldiers gather at a firing range and conduct training operations in the former compound of Taliban leader Mullah Omar, now the base of U.S. special forces.

Above Left: U.S. soldiers enter a cave which is part of Afghanistan Firebase Maholic, which the Green Berets call home. Special Forces soldiers recently started training 130 new Afghan recruits for the country's fledgling auxiliary police force.

Word of Truth

Christian Responsibility to Country

The Word of Truth - Alive and Powerful

For Christians in any nation, the issue is always advancing to the high ground of spiritual maturity by consistent and continual spiritual growth (II Peter 3:18). This is accomplished as the believer in Jesus Christ submits to the authority of their pastor's accurate teaching of the Word of God, believing the Word and applying it to their lives. For the unbeliever the issue is always faith alone in Christ alone (Acts 16:31, John 3:14-18, John 3:36). Spiritual growth is the primary responsibility of Christians to their nation. The Muslim by contrast owes allegiance to his false and satanic god, Allah. Whose duty according to the Koran, is to spread Islam and Sharia law by the sword until all infidels are either converted or murdered (oh, by the way you are an infidel). Christians on the other hand are commanded to submit to the authority of and to pray for their nations leaders.

We read in I Tim 2:1-3: "First of all, therefore, I continually command that supplications, prayers, intercessions be made on behalf of all men; namely, on behalf of kings and all who are in authority, in order that we may lead an undisturbed and tranquil life in all godliness and virtue. For this is noble and acceptable in the opinion of our Savior-God".

God ordained nationalism as one of four divine institutions or laws of establishment. These four are volition, marriage, family and nationalism or government. God instituted these four divine institutions for the protection and preservation of the human race. They apply to the entire human race, believers and unbelievers alike.

Gen 11:1, 7-9: Now the whole earth used the same language and the same words. "Come, let Us go down and confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another's speech." So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of the whole earth; and they stopped building the city. Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of the whole earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of the whole earth.

There at Babel the people instituted Satan's plan of internationalism. However, this satanically inspired rebellion against God was crushed when God gave them separate languages and scattered them to their unique national geographical boundaries.

And He made from one blood [people] every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed [historical] times and the [national] boundaries of their habitation, that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, "For we also are His children" (Acts 17:26-28).

The Christian's responsibility to his nation begins with fulfilling his responsibility to God. For as goes the believer, so goes the nation. "Return to God from whom you have revolted and defected" (Isa 31:6). Grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (II Peter 3:18). Spiritual growth or executing the unique spiritual life of the church age can only be accomplished by means of the filling of the Holy Spirit.

"If we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (I John 1:9). "If we should judge ourselves, we should not be judged" (I Cor 11:31). David said, "If I regard iniquity in my heart the Lord will not hear me" (Ps 66:18).

Recovering the filling of the Holy Spirit is accomplished by confession of known sins to God the father. The filling of the Holy Spirit (FHS) is spirituality. It is fellowship with the living God. The FHS provides the necessary Divine power to learn the Word of God. Without the FHS Christians are no better than unbelievers in the futility of their thinking. They are carnal. Carnal Christians have no ability to learn, apply or utilize the Word. The Holy Spirit teaches our human spirit the Word and recalls for us the truth of Scripture that we have learned (John 14:26).

"This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the futility of their thinking, Having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart. Instead, be renewed in the spirit of your thinking; and that you put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and the holiness of the truth" (Eph 4:17, 18, 23-34).

"Until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature, which belongs to the fullness of Christ. As a result, we are no longer to be children tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of (false) doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ" (Eph 4:13-15).

Apart from becoming a mature believer, (if this was all you accomplished, you would be a true patriot and receive unimaginable rewards in time and eternity) the Christian citizen should understand the following excerption of Biblical principals related to nationalism from the teachings of R.B. Thieme Jr:

Why does a client nation fall? (A client nation to God is defined in terms of spiritual activity e.g. evangelism, learning and teaching the Word, sending missionaries under establishment freedom.) Very shortly after Hosea was written, the Assyrian army invaded the Northern Kingdom and overran the country. They raped the women and enslaved the survivors. Hosea 4:1-6 not only explains why a client nation falls, but it also gives the solution. Nothing has changed since this was written in B.C. 721. The failures and solutions are the same. "The Word of God is alive and powerful" (Heb 4:12). The Word of God is literally the thinking of Christ (Cor 2:16), and He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb 13:8).

Hos 4:1: "Hear the word of the Lord, you citizens of Israel [Northern Kingdom] because the Lord has a case against the inhabitants of the client nation, because nothing of doctrine is taught, nothing about grace is being applied; there is no knowledge of God in the land".

In His control of history, Jesus Christ never destroys a nation or permits its destruction until it has gone beyond all reasonable hope. The Hebrew word for "case" refers to lawsuit. This is a case before the supreme court of heaven.

We are all the products of God's policy of grace. We earn and deserve nothing! It is by grace that we stand.

Hos 4:2: "Instead, there is lying [dishonesty], deception, homicide, stealing, rape, blood touches blood [idiom: perpetuated violence]".

When people lie, they have rejected the truth in their function. When a maximum number of people are in a state of dishonesty, the strength of the nation as a whole is lost.

Those who commit murder should be executed under the law of capital punishment. Homicide does not refer to killing the enemy in battle. Military soldiers who are believers should be the best killers of the enemy. As they are filled (I John 1:9) with the Spirit in battle, they are calm; they concentrate on the proper use of their weapons. They fight well and kill well, and they have no regrets. They fulfill the principle of freedom through military victory. This military function is not only legitimate; it is honorable.

Hos 4:3: "Therefore, the land mourns, and all who live in it lose their strength, along with the beasts of the field and the birds of the air".

To lose your strength means to lose your courage, patriotism, and vitality. As a result, not just rational people suffer, but so do animals who cannot understand why they suffer.

Hos 4:4: "Yet let no one find fault [as in evil activism]; let no one offer criticism, for your citizens are like those who contend with the communicator of doctrine". In Israel, the levitical priests communicated doctrine through the use of animal sacrifices, the holy days, and the articles of furniture in the Tabernacle and temples.

Hos 4:5: "Therefore, you have stumbled in the daylight, and even the prophet will stumble with you in night darkness; and I will destroy your native country [motherland]".

The prophet was the greater Bible teacher. Even he was giving false doctrine, saying such things as "peace, peace, when there is no peace" (Ez 13:10). Today, the stumbling prophet represents pastors who are distracted from Bible teaching by activism, psychology, and false doctrine. As a result, we are ripe for discipline from God. The administration of the final and last installment of discipline known as the fifth cycle of discipline to the Northern Kingdom would occur within a year, i.e., in B.C. 721.

Hos 4:6: "My people are destroyed by lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected the knowledge of doctrine, I will reject you from being a priest nation".

The Northern Kingdom was destroyed and blotted out forever because, as goes the believer, so goes the client nation.

We as believers should not be involved in activism; we should be growing in grace to become mature believers. A nation without absolute truth is a nation without solutions. The solution to any problem whether personal or national demands a spiritual solution. How are national problems solved? In the simplest of terms, the believers priority must be Bible doctrine with emphasis on the mystery doctrine of the Church Age; e.g., the uniqueness of the Church Age with its fantastic privileges, and the resultant problem solving devices that can meet any situation in life. When Bible doctrine is the number one priority, then you concentrate on it. As you hear Bible doctrine taught, you listen and concentrate, and under the ministry of God the Holy Spirit you learn and advance under post-salvation epistemological rehabilitation. Once you begin to concentrate on the Word of God as the priority, you begin to organize your life around it. Whatever it takes, you learn Bible doctrine. Perception, metabolization, and application of Bible doctrine is the road to spiritual maturity. When you learn enough Bible doctrine so that your mental attitude has changed, you organize your thinking around Bible doctrine. Now the divine viewpoint takes hold in your life and begins to push out human viewpoint. When that happens, you begin to utilize in detail all the Biblical solutions or Divine operating assets. As a result of this concentration on and application of Bible doctrine, you advance to the point where you execute the unique spiritual life of the Church Age. Welcome to spiritual maturity!

Stop being conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renovation of your thinking, that you may prove what the will of God is, namely, the good of intrinsic value achievement, the well-pleasing to God, the mature status quo"
- Romans 12:2

Christian activism and arrogance are not the solution. Christian activism is as destructive to a client nation as is any enemy attack. Christian activism is arrogance, which is the motivation that originated in Satan as the ruler of this world. Rom 12:2, "Stop being conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renovation of your thinking, that you may prove what the will of God is, namely, the good of intrinsic value achievement, the well-pleasing to God, the mature status quo".

"Good of intrinsic value achievement" means advance to spiritual maturity, execution of the plan of God, and becoming a winner in the plan of God. The "well-pleasing to God" is the execution of His plan. The only way to execute His plan is to learn and apply Bible doctrine everyday. "The mature status quo" refers to the attainment of spiritual maturity.

Rom 12:3: "For this I say through the grace which has been given to me to everyone who is among you: stop thinking of self in terms of arrogance beyond what you ought to think, but think in terms of sanity for the purpose of being rational without illusion as God has assigned to each one of us a standard of thinking from doctrine".

To think of self in terms of arrogance is to be preoccupied with yourself. Arrogance is the greatest cause of mental illness and insanity. Part of the arrogance complex is having the wrong expectations When you are not treated the way you want to be treated or loved the way you want to be loved, disillusionment results. Your "standard of thinking from Bible doctrine" is replacing human viewpoint with Divine viewpoint, the function of an advancing believer.

There is a tremendous emphasis today among evangelical Christians to practice social and political engineering and activism. There is little or no understanding among believers of the role of the Christian in the client nation to God. This is often predicated in the erroneous theory of the so-called "Christian nation". The "Christian nation" is a myth; the client nation to God is a reality. Both believers and unbelievers exist in a nation with many religions as well as Christianity. There is no such thing as so-called "Christian" laws. The Bible teaches that a nation should follow the laws of divine establishment, designed for believers and unbelievers alike. If so-called "Christian" laws existed, that would outlaw all unbelievers, and that would be tyranny. Christians have become monsters in trying to get their way; e.g., in the abortion crusade, protesting the war on terror, death penalty, gay rights, etc., etc., etc... However, Christians have turned this right to assemble into a vicious, tragic evil. They march and force their children to participate. That is not why God has left us on this earth. Nevertheless, as long as Christians do these things, we will continue down the path of destruction. The Bible clearly emphasizes the fact that the impact of Christianity on a nation is spiritual. Christians do have civil responsibility, such as military service, paying taxes, fulfilling certain civic responsibilities. However, this does not include violence, destruction of property, intrusion on the privacy of others, or any form of civil disobedience. The Bible demands that the believer understand his role in society in terms of God's plan, God's purpose, and God's will for his life. The spiritual impact of the unique spiritual life of the Church Age not only opposes the present modus operandi of Christian activism, but also assigns it to the arrogance of Satan's system, and thereby makes it a function of grieving the Holy Spirit rather than walking by means of the Spirit. As goes the believer, so goes the client nation to God. As our Lord said, "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's".

"Render unto Caesar" is the establishment activity of the believer, his function under the divine institutions of freedom, marriage, family, and government. Freedom must include privacy, self-determination, the sacredness of property and life. Freedom can only be maintained under the laws of divine establishment through military victory. Free enterprise and the coexistence of poverty and wealth side-by-side is a normal function of a nation.

Separation of church and state (freedom of religion, not freedom from religion) is very important. Separation of the military and state is very important so that no coup d'etat or military dictatorship will ever exist. The greatest commentary on the details of a military is given in Numbers, which begins with universal military training. There must be laws against criminality. The Bible advocates that for certain criminal offenses the individual be executed under the principle of capital punishment. Civil authority must exist. Freedom without authority is anarchy. Authority without freedom is tyranny. You cannot have one without the other. "Render unto God" is the believer, after personally receiving Jesus Christ as his Savior, executing the unique spiritual life of the church age. It refers to the manufacture of mature believers, the establishment that thereby blesses by association the client nation. Manifest destiny demands blessing by association with mature believers, not activism from carnal Christians who are guilty of moral degeneration.

The Northern Kingdom became pleasure-mad in their prosperity. All they could think of was pleasure and its stimulation. It became a country of drug addicts and drunks. This is described in Isa 28:8-12. "For all the tables are full of filthy vomit; there is not a single clean place. To whom shall He teach knowledge of doctrine? To whom shall He cause to interpret the message? Those just weaned with milk, those just taken from the mother's breast"?

With everyone drunk or hopped up on drugs, Isaiah was saying, "How can we ever teach doctrine?" The only hope against the great Assyrian empire was a small number of mature believers. The recipients of Bible doctrine could not be spiritual babies; spiritual adults were needed.

"Principle of doctrine added to principle of doctrine, line of Scripture added to line of Scripture, a little doctrine in this message, a little doctrine in the next message."

This is one of the most unusual verses in the Hebrew, because it is onomatopoeic. It is a monosyllabic imitation of two things. The drunken speech related to Isa 28:8, and to the babbling of those who have rejected Bible doctrine. In time of stress, those who have rejected doctrine and who have no establishment orientation are cry babies. They whine and mew and complain their way through life. They never see that they themselves are responsible for the national disaster that overtakes the client nation. Though the sound of the Hebrew is slurred and babbling, the content points to the only solution for the nation, which is to establish mature believers. For that to occur, believers must listen to one principle of doctrine added to another principle of doctrine. This verse promotes the expository teaching of the Word of God. The monosyllabic babbling of the drunks is imitated to give the solution. Notice that not one word promotes Christian activism. The only solution is "principle of doctrine added to principle of doctrine." It all accumulates, and it produces the mature believer. The mature believer comes through the perception of doctrine, not through Christian activism. Christian activism is an abomination to the Lord, and it brings about national discipline that eventually destroys the client nation to God. The babbling reminds the prophet of speaking in tongues. It is interesting to note that Isaiah refers to that next in verse 11. "For with alien articulation and by means of a foreign [Gentile] language, He will speak to this people."

Here Isaiah makes a prophecy about all Jewish client nations, how they will all eventually be destroyed (today there is no Jewish client nation; only Gentile nations can be client nations to God during these times of the Gentiles). The Jews would no longer learn the Gospel from Isa 53. They would learn the Gospel through Gentile languages only. When that occurred in A.D. 70, it would be the sign that Jewish nations would no longer function as client nations to God until the Second Advent of Jesus Christ. Since they would not be evangelized by their own native language, they were therefore to be set aside until the last 1000 years of history. Only when Jesus Christ returns will there ever be a Jewish client nation again. That means there are no Jewish client nations throughout the Church Age and Tribulation.

Isa 28:12: " ... but they would not listen." Sublimation of the Northern Kingdom meant all they wanted to do was to party. They were self-indulgent, preoccupied with themselves. They had no time for the Word God.

Christian service is related to the laws of divine establishment. The laws of divine establishment provide the opportunity for the mature believer to perform divine good in certain spheres of life. Christian service is related to your job. Part of your fulltime Christian service is how you handle your job or profession.

"Slaves [Christian labor] obey your human masters [management] with respect and maximum effort by means of the integrity of your right lobe as unto Christ. Not on the basis of eye service, as men-pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God by means of the soul. Serve with good motivation, as to the Lord, and not for the praise of mankind, because you know that each one, if he does anything good [divine good], for this he himself will be rewarded from the Lord, whether slave or free" (Eph 6:5-8).

The motivation for your Christian service comes from occupation with Christ and the integrity you develop from Bible doctrine in the soul. Doing your job as unto the Lord is making a role-model out of Jesus Christ. Approbation lust is carnal motivation and results in dead works. Every believer, whether slave or free, has equal privilege and opportunity to execute the unique spiritual life of the church age.

"Labor, obey human management on the basis of all things, not with eye service, as people-pleasers, but with the integrity of the right lobe, making a role model out of the Lord. Whatever you do, keep on performing it from the soul, as to the Lord and not to people; since you know that from the Lord you will receive the reward of your inheritance, you serve the Lord Christ. For he who does wrong [on the job] will be paid back for that wrong which he has done, and there is no favoritism" (Col 3:22-25).

Christian service is related to various functions in government service. This service includes the following areas.

  1. Military service.
  2. Law enforcement.
  3. Government service, such as elected representatives (not activism or crusading) and intelligence organizations.
  4. Other functions related to society in general, such as paying taxes.

Those Christians who are employed in these areas should not only regard such employment as their job, but also as their service to the Lord. They should do their job as unto the Lord. It is true that no matter what you do for a living; you are in full time Christian service. Wherever you are, whatever you are doing you are exactly where the Lord wants you.

The Christians responsibility to the nation begins and ends with advancing to the high ground of spiritual maturity and executing the unique spiritual life of the church age. The Word of God must come first. The only solution is a spiritual solution. The survival of the United States of America is in your hands.

Quotes & Jokes

An old prospector walks his tired old mule into a western town one day. He'd been out in the desert for about six months without a drop of whiskey. He walked up to the first saloon he came to and tied his old mule to the hitching rail. As he stood there brushing some of the dust from his face and clothes, a gunslinger walked out of the saloon. He had a gun in one hand and a bottle of whiskey in the other hand. He looked at the old man and laughed . Then he said, " Hey old man have you ever danced? "The old man looked up at him and said, " No, I never did dance. I just never did want to." A crowd had gathered by then and the gunslinger said, " Well you old fool, you're gonna dance now." And he started shooting at the old man's feet.

The old man was hopping around and everybody was laughing.

After the gunslinger fired his last bullet, he holstered his gun and turned around to go back into the saloon.

The old man reached up on the mule, got his shotgun and pulled the hammers back making a clicking sound. The gunslinger heard this and everything got quiet.

As he turned around, he was looking down both barrels of the scatter-gun that was trained on him.

The old man asked him, "Did you ever kiss a mule right on the ass? "

The gunslinger swallowed real hard and then said, " No, but I've always wanted to.

A Prophesy Come True

2,000 years ago, Moses said, "Pick up your shovel, pack your ass, mount your camel and I shall lead you to the Promised Land."

200-plus years ago, George Washington said, "Get off your ass, use your shovel, clear the land, grow plants for camels and it will be the Promised Land."

Last year, the Congress of the United States said "Sí, Amigos, throw away your shovel, sit on your ass, light your Camels, we're giving you the Promised Land."

An American tourist in London decides to skip his tour group and explore the city on his own.

He wanders around, seeing the sights, and occasionally stopping at a quaint pub to soak up the local culture, chat with the lads, and have a pint of Guinness.

After awhile, he finds himself in a very high class neighborhood..... big, stately residences... no pubs, no stores, no restaurants, and worst of all ... NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS. He really, really has to go, after all those Guinness's.

He finds a narrow side street, with high walls surrounding the adjacent buildings and decides to use the wall to solve his problem. As he is unzipping, he is tapped on the shoulder by a London Bobby, who says, "I say, sir, you simply cannot do that here, you know."

"I'm very sorry, officer," replies the American, "but I really, really HAVE TO GO, and I just can't find a public restroom.

"Ah, yes," said the bobby ... "Just follow me". He leads him to a back 'delivery alley', then along a wall to a gate, which he opens. "In there," he points. "Whiz away sir, anywhere you want."

The fellow enters and finds himself in the most beautiful garden he has ever seen. Manicured grass lawns, statuary, fountains, sculpted hedges, and huge beds of gorgeous flowers, all in perfect bloom. Since he has the cop's blessing, he unburdens himself and is greatly relieved.

As he goes back through the gate, he says to the bobby, "That was really decent of you... is that what you call 'English Hospitality'?"

"No, sir" replies the bobby, "that is what we call the French Embassy."

Execution of American Soldiers In Karbala Tied To Iran

Execution of American Soldiers In Karbala Tied To Iran

BAGHDAD, Iraq - In perhaps the boldest and most sophisticated attack in four years of warfare, gunmen speaking English, wearing U.S. military uniforms and carrying American weapons abducted four U.S. soldiers last week at the provincial headquarters in the Shiite holy city of Karbala and then shot them to death.

Bill Roggio has an update on the Karbala attack on American soldiers, 4 of whom were killed execution style. It may turn out that the soldiers were killed by operatives from within the Iranian Republican Guard Corps. They were ambushed in the same unwarranted manner that resulted in the last conflict between Israeli forces and Lebanon.

If true, and I have no reason to believe anything otherwise, what good is expected by inviting Iran to the negotiating table? The same people that criticize Americans for working with Saddam Hussein in the past would be yelping twenty years from now for working with Iran. Has anyone thought of what concessions Iran would require in the face of this appeasement initiative? Finally, how do you negotiate with a country whose leader professed death to America and Israel only one short week ago? (inevitable death no less)

Dad's pride & pain

Lt. Michael Murphy

Family of fallen L.I. soldier up for top medal knew their boy would never leave his men to die

The father of a Navy SEAL being considered for the nation's highest award for valor said yesterday his son's selfless actions on an Afghan mountaintop didn't surprise him.

"He's our hero," Daniel Murphy, 60, said of his gritty warrior son, Lt. Michael Murphy, who died on a Hindu Kush mountain June 28, 2005, while trying to save three members of his elite commando unit.

"What we've learned with regard to what he did doesn't surprise us at all. That was pure Michael," said the father.

Only one member of the unit made it off the mountaintop alive, and he told relatives that Murphy died saving his life.

Bush Presents Medal of Honor to Fallen Marine

Bush Presents Medal of Honor to Fallen Marine

President Bush today presented the Medal of Honor, the nation's highest decoration, to the family of Marine Cpl. Jason Dunham, who died shielding his fellow Marines from a grenade blast in Iraq in April 2004.

"With this medal, we pay tribute to the courage and leadership of a man who represents the best of young Americans," Bush said before presenting the medal to Dunham's family at the White House.

Dunham, who grew up in Scio, N.Y., was the leader of a rifle squad with 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines, in Iraq. Dunham's squad was conducting a reconnaissance mission in Karabilah on April 14, 2004, when a nearby convoy returning to base was ambushed. When Dunham's squad approached to assist the convoy, an Iraqi insurgent jumped out of a vehicle and grabbed Dunham by the throat. As Dunham wrestled the insurgent to the ground, he noticed that the enemy fighter had a grenade in his hand. Dunham ordered his Marines to move back, and when the enemy dropped the live grenade, Dunham took off his Kevlar helmet, covered the grenade with it, and threw himself on top to smother the blast.

Dunham initially survived his wounds, but died eight days later at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., with his mother and father at his bedside.

Hapkido Master to Green Berets and Billy Jack Dies

Billy Jack

Bong Soo Han, 73; grand master of hapkido won film fans for martial arts

In 1971 the American public knew little about the martial art known as hapkido. Then came the movie "Billy Jack" and an unforgettable performance by a then-unknown martial arts instructor, Bong Soo Han.

Standing nearly nose to nose with one of the movie's villains, Han, a stunt double for Tom Laughlin, the movie's star, delivers a quick kick to the man's jaw, flooring him. "Billy Jack" received mixed reviews from critics, but such scenes captured the imagination of the moviegoing public and sent some out seeking to learn the art.

Those early students found Han at his dojang, or studio, in Santa Monica, as did thousands of others. For the rest of his life, he taught and promoted the martial art through his International Hapkido Federation, earning recognition as the father of hapkido in the Western world.

Han died Monday at his home in Santa Monica from complications of cancer, said Jon Davis, a spokesman for the family. He was 73.

Green Beret awarded Silver Star for action in Iraq

Green Beret awarded Silver Star for action in Iraq

A Special Forces Soldier, Sgt. 1st Class Frederick Allen, formerly of the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) based at Fort Campbell, Ky., was recognized for valorous actions in Iraq during a ceremony at the Heritage Auditorium here, Jan. 19.

His detachment advanced toward their objective and came under immediate and intense enemy fire from inside a school. Allen, the gunner in the detachments 2nd vehicle, and a staff sergeant at the time, ordered his GMV forward, placing himself in the direct line of fire to allow the Iraqi National Guard elements to re-group and reorganize after sustaining several casualties.

His courage did not end there. Multiple times in the fight, Allen selflessly stayed in the line of fire battling the enemy, so that others could make it back to cover.

Allen acknowledged the personal significance of his Silver Star, but said he feels that the award symbolizes the heroism of his team and the Iraqi National Guard during their battle with Mahdi Milita.

Gunmen force troops off border watch

Gunmen force troops off border watch

National Guard troops at an observation post near the Mexico border were forced to flee a group of armed people, who later ran into Mexico, authorities said.

The troops, who are not allowed to apprehend illegal border crossers, withdrew safely and no one was injured, said National Guard Sgt. Edward Balaban.

U.S. Border Patrol officials are investigating the 11 p.m. Wednesday incident and trying to determine who the armed people were and why they approached the post near Sasabe, in the desert corridor between Nogales and Lukeville. Balaban said the troops didn't know how many people were involved because it was so dark.

That area has been the busiest in the Tucson Sector for marijuana seizures. Agents have seized 124,000 pounds of marijuana there since Oct. 1, said Rob Daniels, spokesman for the Border Patrol's Tucson Sector.

What Senator John Glenn Said

What Senator John Glenn Said

Some people still don't understand why military personnel do what they do for a living. This exchange betweenSenators John Glenn and Senator Howard Metzenbaum is worth reading. Not only is it a pretty impressive impromptu speech, but it's also a good example of one man's explanation of why men and women in the armed services do what they do for a living.

This IS a typical, though sad, example of what some who have never served think of the military.

Senator Metzenbaum (speaking to Senator Glenn): "How can you run for Senate when you've never held a real job?"

Senator Glenn (D-Ohio): "I served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps. I served through two wars. I flew 149 missions. My plane was hit by anti-aircraft fire on 12 different occasions. I was in the space program. It wasn't my checkbook, Howard; it was my life on the line. It was not a nine-to-five job, where I took my tie off to take the daily cash receipts to the bank."

Special Forces Soldiers receive combat training from renowned UFC fighter

BJ Penn

As I drove to my Thursday morning combatives session at zero-dark-thirty recently, my cell phone rang.

"We ready, bra," came a gruff Hawaiian-accented response tainted by early morning fog and a touch of jet lag.

"You don't have to, BJ," I told him. "You gave a two-hour session to our best grapplers yesterday. This morning is just our normal workout."

"Yeah I know. Let's do it," he replied, as professionally as any Officer I'd ever met.

Terrorizing Terrorists

We'll get you. No matter how long it takes, we'll get you. That's the message our special-operations forces just sent to al Qaeda fugitives in Somalia - and everywhere else.

With AC-130 gunships pounding terrorist hide-outs and training sites in the badlands near the Kenyan border, we may have nailed senior al Qaeda figures involved in bombing our embassies in Nairobi and Dar Es Salaam. At the very least, we killed some really bad hombres.

As always, terrorist propagandists will claim that only innocent civilians suffered, and media sympathizers will echo their nonsense. Fortunately, though, most pro-terrorist journalists and "human-rights advocates" are preoccupied just now with the awful mistreatment of poor, misunderstood Saddam Hussein.

And the devastation left behind by our gunships is only part of a very big U.S. win...

Thai Legends 50th Anniversary of Thai Special Forces

For nearly a week in early June of this year four living legends, highly-decorated special operations officers, all friends, whose stellar reputations have followed them from the dangerous, steamy jungles of Southeast Asia, were reunited in Lopburi, Thailand, the home of the Royal Thai Army Airborne, Ranger and Special Forces commands. They are Thai General Tienchai Sirisumpan, Thai Colonel Chaicharn Harnnavee, US Army Major (Ret) Mark "Zippo" Smith and St. Martin Parish native, US Army Lt Col (Ret) Johnny Raymond.

The events leading up to this historic reunion started in the Pentagon in early January 1954. There are those who consider the fact that these four men are still alive is due to divine intervention. And almost unbelievable is the fact that among these four friends are the first POW released by the North Vietnamese in February, 1973, Smith, and the last POW released by the North Vietnamese, Chai, nearly two years after the last American POW returned home.

A Saintly Day!

John Snyder, a former associate editor with the NRA's journal, The American Rifleman, has on several occasions lobbied the Vatican to consider naming Saint Gabriel Possenti to that position, most recently last week during a visit to Rome.

Possenti, who was made a saint early in the 20th century, was allegedly renowned for his shooting skills. In 1860, Snyder said this week, he rescued Italian villagers "with a striking, one-shot, lizard-slaying demonstration of handgun marksmanship."

A Vatican spokesperson said Tuesday there were some "biographical discrepancies" with regard to the saint and the gun claims.

Snyder runs the St. Gabriel Possenti Society, based in Arlington, Virginia, whose aim is to promote public awareness of the saint and discussion of the doctrine of legitimate self-defense.

"Recently, the Catholic Church named St. Thomas More the patron of politicians," he said. "Certainly, handgunners are at least as deserving of their own patron as are politicians.

"There are scores of millions of law-abiding handgunners in the world who ought to have a patron. In the USA alone, over 80 million law-abiding citizens own about 200 million handguns, rifles and shotguns."

Presidents Hoover & Eisenhower Deported Millions Of Illegals!

Presidents Hoover & Eisenhower Deported Millions Of Illegals!

Who says it can't be done?

Here is something that should be of great interest for you to pass around. I didn't know of this until it was pointed out to me. But, back during the Great Depression, President Herbert Hoover ordered the deportation of all illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American citizens that desperately needed work.

And then again in 1954, President Dwight Eisenhower deported 1.3 million Mexican nationals! The program was called "Operation "Wetback" so that American WWII and Korean veterans had a better chance at jobs. It took 2 years, but they deported them!

Now, if they could deport the illegals back then, they can sure do it today!! If you have doubts about the veracity of this information, enter Operation Wetback into your favorite search engine and confirm it for yourself.

Reminder Don't forget to pay your taxes... 12 million illegal aliens are depending on you!

Secret Service agent recalls his time with former President Ford

Darwin Horn

I was pleased to hear from Darwin Horn. He had been on my mind since news of President Ford's death made me recall the veteran Secret Service agent saying that this was the chief executive he knew best and held in highest regard.

That was saying something because the longtime Rolling Hills resident has known and protected every president from Eisenhower to George H.W. Bush. But while he always maintained a respectful remove from the men in power -- still carefully placing the word "president" before each name -- I could see where the two big men found common ground.

Ford was 12 years older than Horn, but both had been top college football players. The difference being that the former agent was taller, at 6-foot-3, and an All-American in baseball and football at Pepperdine. Horn had even signed to play pro ball with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1951 but gave up the $4,500 annual salary when his Secret Service appointment came through.

"I could see where my future was," said this fit and talkative 81-year-old who has hands the size of Virginia hams. "I've never been sorry about my decision. The Secret Service was the best job in the world. It's like being part of a great athletic team with fantastic camaraderie and spirit."

"I spent three years with Eisenhower and never had a meaningful conversation with him," he said. "But I'd talk to President Ford quite often. For starters, he wasn't the klutz he was made out to be. In fact, he was a good golfer and a fine athlete who swam every morning. Nor was he the dim bulb some portrayed him to be. The man had been a naval commander and he graduated from Yale Law School where he stayed on to coach football. As a former Michigan football player I think that he liked the team spirit of our detail. He liked to talk. He was friendly, inquisitive, congenial, knowledgeable about sports, a good bridge player and just a fine man. He was also one of the most punctual people I've ever worked with."

Sheriff Judd for Chief of the HPD

Another case of underestimating the ammo requirements

As reported earlier this week, some dirt bag who got pulled over in a routine traffic stop in Florida ended up "executing" the deputy who stopped him.

The deputy was shot eight times, including once behind his right ear at close range.

Another deputy was wounded and a police dog killed.

A statewide manhunt ensued. The low-life piece of human garbage was found hiding in a wooded area with his gun. SWAT team officers fired and hit said low-life 68 times.

Now here's the kicker: Asked why they shot the guy 68 times, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told the Orlando Sentinel... "That's all the bullets we had."

Kwanzaa: Holiday From the FBI

Kwanzaa: Holiday From the FBI

President Bush's Kwanzaa message this year skipped the patently absurd claim of years past that: "African-Americans and people around the world reflect on African heritage during Kwanzaa." Instead, he simply said: "I send greetings to those observing Kwanzaa."

More African-Americans spent this season reflecting on the birth of Christ than some phony non-Christian holiday invented a few decades ago by an FBI stooge. Kwanzaa is a holiday for white liberals, not blacks.

It is a fact that Kwanzaa was invented in 1966 by a black radical FBI pawn, Ron Karenga, aka Dr. Maulana Karenga. Karenga was a founder of United Slaves, a violent nationalist rival to the Black Panthers and a dupe of the FBI.

History Lesson for all Americans

Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.

The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel.

The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:
1. Liberals; and
2. Conservatives.

Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery.

That's how villages were formed.

Did you know? Moses in the Constitution

Did you know? Moses in the Constitution

As you walk up the steps to the building which houses the U.S Supreme Court you can see near the top of the building a row of the world's law givers and each one is facing one in the middle who is facing forward with a full frontal view . it is Moses and he is holding the Ten Commandments!

As you enter the Supreme Court courtroom, the two huge oak doors have the Ten Commandments engraved on each lower portion of each door.

As you sit inside the courtroom, you can see the wall, right above where the Supreme Court judges sit, a display of the Ten Commandments!

There are Bible verses etched in stone all over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in Washington, D.C.

Did you know? Senatorial Voting Records

The following senators voted against making English the official language of America...

The following are the senators who voted to give illegal aliens Social Security benefits...

The entire population of the United States needs to know this information, unless they don't mind sharing their Social Security with foreign workers who didn't pay in a dime.

The SwissMiniGun

The SwissMiniGun

The SwissMiniGun is a 2.16-inch replica of a Colt Python, and it's a real gun that shoots tiny bullets that are just .35 inches long. This miniature Swiss-made revolver and its 2.34 mm caliber ammunition are manufactured using watch-making technology. The revolver is no bigger than a key ring and can be hidden anywhere. In its holster, it looks like a toy or key ring but can be deadly if fired.

Tactical Tips
The Combat Swimmer Stroke (CSS)

CSS is one of the the most efficient way to swim with fins in challenging special operations training such as Navy SEALs, EOD/Diver, Army Rangers, Green Berets, USMC RECON, and Air Force PJs and others.

The CSS is a relaxing and super efficient swim stroke that is an updated version of the traditional sidestroke. Actually, the CSS is a mix of sidestroke, freestyle and breaststroke in the following ways:

Freestyle the top arm pull of the CSS is the same as arm pulls in freestyle.

Freestyle breathing after the top arm pulls in the CSS is the same as in freestyle.

Breaststroke the bottom arm pull is the same as the breaststroke arm pull

Sidestroke the overall look is the same as side stroke in the CSS since you are on your side and kicking using the scissor kick.

Put this mix all together and you have the Combat Swimmer Stroke in this sequence:

Top arm pull, bottom arm pull-breathe, kick- recover arms overhead, glide.

The object to the CSS without fins is efficiency - you should try to get across a 25m pool in as few strokes as possible. If you are doing more than 10 strokes per length you are working too hard. In fact, the fastest and best swimmers get across a 25m pool in 3-5 strokes.

When you find yourself in water with a lot of distance to cover, the CSS will serve you well especially when you are wearing fins. You will tire less quickly if you learn to perform this stroke properly.
